Even if you haven’t seen the 1955 Rebel Without a Cause, most would confidently say they know that’s the film starring the legendary James Dean. Unfortunately, Jame’s life was cut very short at only…

“Vogue has not found enough ways to elevate and give space to Black editors, writers, photographers, designers, and other creators” — Anna Wintour, Vogue

2020, the year of the decade, will surely be remembered as one of the most defining years of all time. In the wake of all the trials and tribulations, who would have thought we’d be living in a time where going to the grocery store was a matter of life or death, or when sleeping in your own home could mean you might not wake up to see tomorrow based upon the color of your skin…

A Brit in La La Land: Nichola Fynn

Many European actors dream of the opportunity to work in Hollywood, but few actually get the chance. It’s a common dream for young creatives; working all day long at the local pub in order to save the money for the flight across the pond, and the first and last deposit for the studio flat in the heart of Hollywood. Then you’ll get into the same acting class as Margot Robbie and before you know it, you’ll land your first TV audition! Perhaps you’ll even get discovered by a well connected Hollywood manager or agent as soon as you step off…

It is breathtaking. From the minute the 94 Porsche 964 appears on screen. The Porsche is an ‘air gets sucked out of the room’, ‘disapproving grandmas’, and ‘men adjusting their under-roos’ kind of sexy car. It fits BAD BOYS, and the character who owns it beautifully.

It’s sleek design and gorgeous, simple black styling instantly explains everything you need to know about the man driving it. (Just as a side note, I had to have the Editor In Chief watch The Movie Because My Colorblind ass couldn’t tell if it was Blue Or Black).

It appears .45 seconds into the…

Easy Steps to Learn a New Dialect — Fast!

Alright, so, get this. This past week in my acting class I had to do a scene from Joss Whedon’s The Nevers, which is currently streaming on HBO. My scene partner, whose an older American gentleman, whereas I am British-American, was getting very caught up on the English accent. Every character within this show has a very distinct way of speaking, and particular accents that all emphasize who they are as people, and who they are in relationship to each other. Just check out the trailer below to hear it for yourself!

The Benefits and Side Effects of the DIY At-Home Facial

Late one night, when I couldn’t sleep, came across a series of YouTube videos and I quickly fell down an irresistible rabbit hole of tutorials that I could not tear my curious eyes away from. Gua Sha is a centuries-old technique that offers a multitude of health and wellness benefits, and now has become a cosmetic mainstay. I knew I instantly had to try it, and I think that you should too.

What Is a Gua Sha Facial?

If you’ve never seen one of these stones before, or if you have but never really understood what it was used for, then you currently might be thinking…

Broadway is Coming Back!

A year ago the pandemic forced Broadway to take an abrupt and unwanted intermission, leaving performers and crew members uncertain of their future. The theaters fell dark, as did our souls.

But yesterday the spotlight suddenly flickered back to life, when New York Governor Andrew Cuomo stated that tickets for full-capacity shows will go on sale today!

Are Drive-in’s the New Ideal Cinema Experience?

I attended the Loudoun Arts Drive-In Film Festival

And away we go! Let’s start off with… I hate flying. It gives me massive anxiety! However, it was well worth the journey to Washington DC.

Finally out of the clutches of a massive heat wave that has hit Southern California, I prepare for my interview via Zoom, by taking a seat outside on the balcony of my Hollywood Hills Airbnb. I’m looking forward to speaking with Kaeley Boyle, who is widely known as the ‘Mother of All Arts.’ Located in Loudon County, Virgina, Kaeley’s…

Pineaperol Margarita | Californication

Never heard of it? Well, that’s because it’s an original. Start by mixing Reposado tequila with fresh lime, then adding — orange liquor, some aperol and a splash of pineapple juice. Top it off with soda water, a pinch of salt, garnished with an orange — and there you have it! …

Luxury Fashion Labels Rose to the Challenge of Showcasing Collections During a Global Crisis

In July 2020, it had been five months since we had seen a runway show prior to the pandemic. Most fashion enthusiasts felt starved for inspiration and creativity. As the annual men’s and resort fashion shows were approaching, we wondered anxiously how the year’s shows were going to be carried out. Major luxury brands from Milan and Paris answered our prayers and delivered their 2021 collections through digital fashion shows, videos, and presentations. …
