Remembering Oscar Winning Actor, Christopher Plummer

“The whole reason for being an actor is that you have an imagination, an intelligence and some sort of instinct all your own.” — Christopher Plummer
Oscar winning actor Christopher Plummer died on January 5th, 2021 in his Connecticut home at the age of 91. Trained in both stage and film, Plummer began his career on Broadway, before co-starring in the classic film, The Sound of Music. An actor who won both Academy and Tony awards, Plummer worked well into his eighties, lighting up our screens. In addition to his film and theater career, Plummer was also an accomplished voice actor, narrating for children’s T.V. shows like Madeline, and the audio book Winnie the Pooh, as well as animated movies like 9 and Up.
The deep impact of his incredible career, which spanned for over fifty years, has touched the film industry, as well as American culture. From the Sound Of Music and All the Money In The World, to the 2019 film Knives Out, (my personal favorite film of 2019), Plummer has left his mark upon the world.
He is survived by his wife, actress Elaine Taylor, and his daughter, Amanda. We here at Bellator Magazine would like to offer his family our condolences.
